Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game Day Filled with Fan Activities for Husky and Tiger Faithful

Events include FanZone presented by Coca-Cola and Tailgate Town built by The Home Depot.

ATLANTA – Atlanta will be kicking off college football’s opening weekend with a bowl-like atmosphere as fans flood the city and participate in the full slate of game day activities that start well before the 2018 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game. Fans will have a full day of events around Mercedes-Benz Stadium before watching No. 6 Washington face off against No. 9 Auburn at 3:30 p.m. ET.

FanZone presented by Coca-Cola will be located at the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) in Building A, just steps away from Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The event opens at 10 a.m. ET and features interactive football games, sponsor activations, and a variety of contests and giveaways at the PNC Main Stage. It will be highlighted by the Washington and Auburn Pep Rallies, beginning at 11:45 a.m. ET and 12:15 p.m. ET that will feature bands and cheerleaders from both schools. Entrance is free for all game ticket holders and $15 at the door for others wanting to join the festivities.

Tailgate Town built by The Home Depot is the ultimate outdoor tailgating experience. It is located outside at the International Plaza of the Georgia World Congress Center and will feature interactive sponsor displays and live entertainment. Tailgate Town festivities will begin at 10 a.m. ET. 

Trager Grills, the official grill of the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, will be providing food samples and will host a wing-eating contest. DJ Suspense will also be hosting the live entertainment and giveaways, and a large HD TV screen will be set up to watch all of the early afternoon football action.

FanZone presented by Coca-Cola wraps up at 2 p.m. ET while Tailgate Town built by Home Depot will end at kickoff. There will also be food trucks outside of the GWCC primary entrance from 10 a.m. ET until kick. No. 6 Washington and No. 9 Auburn will hit the gridiron at Mercedes-Benz Stadium at 3:30 p.m. ET and the game will be shown on ABC.
